About the Department

Year of opening of the Department: 1971-72

The Department of Zoology in Rayagada College (Autonomous) , Rayagada was opened in Academic Session 1971-72 with teaching facility in Pre University (P.U) Science Degree Classes. Honours Course in Zoology was opened in the Academic Session 1984-85.

The Department imparted teaching facilities in:

  • MSc Life Sciences
  • Zoology as GE
