(A) STATUTORY COMMITTEE:-
1. Academic Council :
Functions :
Without Prejudice to the generally of functions mentioned the Academic Council shall have the powers to :
  • Scrutinise and approve the proposals (with or without modification) of the Boards of studies with regard to the courses of study, academic regulations, curricula, syllabi and modifications there of, instructional and evaluation arrangements, methods, procedures relevant thereto etc. In case, the Academic council differs on any proposal, it has the right to return the matter for consideration to the Board of studies concerned or reject after giving reasons to do so.
  • Make regulations regarding admission of students to different programmes of study in the college.
  • Make regulations for sports, extra-curricular activities, proper maintenance and functioning of the playground s and hostels. Recommend to the Governing Body proposals for institution of new programmes of study.
  • Recommend to the Governing Body, institution of scholarships, studentships, fellowships, prizes, and medals and to frame regulations for the award of the same.
  • Advise the Governing Body on the suggestions pertaining to academic affairs made by it.
  • Perform such other functions as may be assigned by the Governing Body.

Function :
  • Prepare syllabi for various courses keeping in view the objectives of the college, interest of the stakeholders and national requirement for consideration and approval of the Academic Council.
  • Suggest Methodologies for innovative teaching and evaluation techniques.

Career Counselling Cell

The teachers particulars in personal counselling in specified career counselling classes and guide the students regarding admission into professional courses in the Career Counselling Cell. Some NGOs and other organisations are invited for career counselling to students. Career Counselling Cell has been formed in the college along with students information Cell which provides information regarding the higher education and placement opportunities to outgoing students.

Function
  • To consider the budget estimates relating to the grant received/receivable from UGC, and income from fees etc collected for the activities to undertake the scheme of autonomy.
  • To consider the audited accounts of the above.

The grievance cell is meant for the students only. In case of any grievance by the students, the Principal refers it to the Prof.-in-charge of the cell. The Prof.-in-charge takes steps to redress the same within 24 hours. If the nature of the grievance is serious in nature then the same is referred to the Committee for. The Committee holds a hearing and suggests for appropriate measures to the Principal. Urgent problems, when brought to the notice of the principal in person, are attended immediately through dialogue between students, cell members and the Principal. provides information regarding the higher education and placement opportunities to outgoing students.
