RULES & REGULATIONS OF RAYAGADA AUTONOMOUS COLLEGE, RAYAGADA

Any student admitted into the Rayagada Autonomous college will be registered under Berhampur University and will be issued a registration slip bearing registration number. There shall be Six internal assessment examinations and six semester examinations during Three Years Degree Course of BA, B.Com., B.Sc. classes. In every year there shall be two internal assessment examinations and two semester examinations. There shall be no practical examinations in 1st , 3rd and 5th semester examinations and practical examinations are conducted in 2nd , 4th and 6th semester examinations. The total marks of the degree examinations shall be the sum total of the marks of all the six semester examinations including internal assessment are 1800. The result of the final degree examination will be determined in consideration of performances of the candidates in all the examinations taken together, i.e. from 1st semester to 6th semester. In no case a candidate shall be allowed to appear at any examinations after 5 years of first registrations to 1st semester examinations. Regulation for promotion and division.

Minimum Pass– One has to secure 30% of marks in a subject to get passed without practical paper and 40% with practical paper. To qualify pass, one has to get the minimum aggregate marks of 36%.
Pass without Honours– One has to secure 30% of marks in each subject and 36% minimum in aggregate marks other than Honours subject.
Pass without Honours and distinction– 30% of marks in each subject and 36% minimum in aggregate marks other than Honours subject. Minimum of 50% in aggregate for pass and Honours subject combinedly. Less than 45% but not less than 36% in Honours.

2nd Class Honours – One has to secure 30% of marks in each subject and 36% minimum in aggregate marks. One has to secure 45% or more less than 60% in Honours subject.
2nd Class Honours Distinction– In addition to 2nd class Honours a minimum of 50% in aggregate in other subjects except Honours in first appearance.
1st class Honours –One has to secure 30% of marks in each subject and 36% minimum in aggregate marks and 60% or more in Hons. Subject.
1st class Honours with Distinction – In addition to 1st class Honours, a minimum 50% in aggregate in subjects other than Honours in first appearance.
Honours subjects with practical papers – One should secure a minimum marks of 45% in theory papers and minimum of 45% in practical papers taken together
Back Paper system : If a candidate fails/absents in any one/more papers, he/she shall be allowed to clear the papers within next two consecutive semester examinations
Cancellation of studentship – If a candidate fails to fill-up his/her forms in first semester examination his/her candidature shall be ceased If a candidate fails to fill up his/her forms in 2nd semester examination onwards he/she shall be allowed to fill-up his/her forms with one year gap i.e., with Junior semester students.
